The third – term representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has assured his constituents of a greater human capital and infrastructural developments for reposing their trust in him by re-electing him.
Benson expressed his appreciation to the constituents and leaders after his inauguration alongside other federal lawmakers into the 10th National Assembly, today.
In a statement titled, ‘Ikorodu: Our Shared Journey, Our Shared Value’, and personally signed by him, he said that his return to the Green Chamber, is a reminder of the immense support that he has been receiving from his people.
“Dear esteemed constituents, I express my heartfelt appreciation to the vibrant and ever-supportive residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, as the newly sworn-in member of the House of Representatives, representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency”, he said.
“Today’s inauguration is simply a reminder of the incredible support and unparalleled confidence reposed in me as your representative for another four years at the House of Representatives.
“To whom much is given, much is expected, I will not hesitate to reciprocate your unwavering support, kind gesture and show of love with greater human capital and infrastructural development to Ikorodu Federal Constituency”, he said.
He thanked his constituents for always supporting him and for ensuring peace and unity in his constituency.
While congratulating his counterpart in the Senate, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru who was also inaugurated into the 10th Senate today, Rep. Benson also thanked royal fathers, party leaders and residents of Ikorodu division, for their cooperation and support.
“I express my sincere gratitude to my party leaders, loyalists , volunteer groups, Community Development Associations, supporters and well-wishers for the sacrifice, tireless efforts and commitment towards a resounding victory at the polls, which culminated into today’s epochal event”, he emphasised.
“To our esteemed Christian, Muslim and traditional communities, I acknowledge and appreciate your wisdom and guidance. Your invaluable contributions in maintaining peace and order within our constituency, cannot be overemphasized.
“Finally, I am grateful to my brother, Senator Adetokunbo Abiru, monarchs in Ikorodu Division led by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Shotobi, GAC members led by Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Local Government chairmen, Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, among others, for their immense support.
“May the good Lord continue to guide and grant us the will to be able to do more for Ikorodu Division, individually and collectively. Ikorodu Oga, Ajuse ooo!”.
