The management team and members of the Lekan Aroyewun Project (LeAP), a formidable political platform of the former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewun, have joined numerous others in felicitating Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson, on their respective inaugurations at the 10th National Assembly, in Abuja, today.
Sen. Tokunbo Abiru and Rep. Babajimi Benson, Senator representing Lagos East and representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, respectively, today, took the oath of office as members of the 10th National Assembly.
In a statement by the Secretary of the LeAP team, Barr. Adeleke Aroyewun, the group said that they are impressed not only with the federal lawmakers’ laudable and impactful representations, but also with the status that they have achieved in the National Assembly.
“We celebrate the duo of Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, and our amiable representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson, on your inaugurations as ranking members of the 10th Assembly”, the team said.
“Aside your invaluable contributions to governance in Lagos State and your outstanding performances in providing exemplary leadership, human capacity development and infrastructural deposits to Ikorodu division, we are particularly inundated by your dignified status in the National Assembly and your reputation as heroes of democracy”.
While stating that both legislators have raised the bar of legislature in the National Assembly, the political group also stated that their constituents are expecting more from them.
“It is the honest truth that you both are of the very best kind, you have pridefully elevated our division and senatorial district to become a strong reference point for quality legislative governance in Nigeria”, the LeAP stated.
“It is our belief that the best is yet to come in terms of your innovative approach to governance and seminal collaboration between your humble selves for the growth of the division.
