A returning federal lawmaker, representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has said that the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, offers Nigeria hope of a greater country.
Benson also stated that the country has experienced military and other challenges which the country has come out strong from.
The three – term lawmaker stated this in a statement to his constituents, signed in commemoration of the anniversary of June 12 which is now known as Democracy Day.
“It gladdens my heart to wish Nigerians, particularly the industrious people of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, a Happy Democracy Day celebration”, Rep. Benson said.
“Nigeria’s democratic journey has no doubt weathered the storm of military rule since 1999 with resilience, steadfastness and sacrifice.
“The unity, progress and prosperity of our dear nation could not have been sustained without patriotism, commitment and dedication to national rebirth as typified by the new administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“Apparently, our hope of a greater nation is being rekindled with applaudable fiscal policies, decisive and proactive actions, which are expected to boost the confidence of local and foreign investors in Nigeria as the 27th largest economy in the world”, he assured.
“As Nigerians look forward to a more prosperous nation, I urge the citizens to exercise more patience, recommit and rededicate themselves towards achieving the country of our dream.
“Happy Democracy Day!”.
