The Ayangbure of Ikorodu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, has said that the royal family and entire people of ikorodu Kingdom are appreciative of the Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Tokunbo Abiru, for his good representation.
The monarch stated this while acknowledging the intervention of Abiru in facilitating the award of contract for the rehabilitation of the Ikorodu – Itoikin Road, a road which the Senator is currently making the contractor to embark on palliative work to make it motorrable ahead of the commencement of the rehabilitation proper.
In a statement issued on Wednesday evening and signed by Sir (Otunba) Ayodele Elesho, KJW, on behalf of the Ayangbure palace, Oba Shotobi said that the Senator is delivering far beyond the legislative duty to his people.
‘’l have no doubt, whatsoever, in my mind that you truly justify the DOING GOOD accolade being used by our people to describe the good works you are doing throughout the length and breadth of lkorodu Division, and most especially, the on-going multi million naira palliative works being funded and executed by you on Ikorodu – ltoikn Road’’, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu said.

‘’Before your recent intervention, the ever busy major road has become not only un-motorable but on the verge of being totally abandoned by motorists.
‘’This your singular action, as well as other meritorious services being continuously rendered to the good people of lkorodu Division and majority of our people generally, are not only being appreciated, but you have succeeded in proving that there are many other services that go along with lawmaking for the good of the people, for which you are a good reference personality’’, the royal father added.
He further commended the Senator for funding the palliative intervention on the Ikorodu – Itoikin road, pending the time that the proper construction work will commence.
‘’Therefore, on behalf of my humble self, the royal families, Ayangbure in Council and indeed the good people of Ikorodu kingdom, l, hereby, convey to you our very sincere appreciation for the repair (palliative) work you are doing on the Ikorodu – ltoikin road, which is being single handedly funded by you, pending the time the Federal Government will commence major reconstruction of the road’’, Ayangbure stated in the royal appreciation.
‘’I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to bless you to achieve more for the good of our people. Thanks’’.
