A socio – cultural and developmental body, which is the umbrella body of all clubs, societies and associations in lkorodu, the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), has rejoiced with the Muslims in Ikorodu, Lagos State and the country at large on the occasion of the 2023 Eid-il-Fitr celebrations.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Mr Akeem Rotimi Erogbogbo, IKODASS said that the fasting period that was just concluded brings about renewal and charged Muslims to use the strength towards the development of Ikorodu.
“Ikorodu Oga Development Association, (lKODASS), rejoices with and congratulates all our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of Ramadan fasting period. May the blessings and lessons of the season abides with us”, the IKODASS Chairman said.
“The uniqueness of Ramadan lies in the re-invigoration and renewal it bestow. Let us channel this renewed vigour into the continued development of our dear city, lkorodu. Let us take ownership and show more care and concern for everything Ikorodu. Let us work for our land”.
The IKOADSS Chairman also asked the faithful to extend hands of fellowship to those in need and let them have a sense of celebration during the period and beyond.
“As true brothers and sisters, let us remember the less privileged among us in our celebrations. Whatever you can do to help your neighbour, do it. It can only make you greater. Each one, help one. Therein lies our greatness as a people. Ramadan Mubarak”, he said.
