-Ajose-Oke Ota road completed
Following the completion of the construction of the 1.5kilometre Ajose -Oke-Ota and other roads in communities in Owode – Ibeshe, off the Ibeshe Road in Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Ikorodu Division, Lagos State, Southwest, Nigeria, the construction and rehabilitation of the Grammar School-Mobil-Agbele and Eruwen roads, are progressing.
The construction of the roads, which was flagged-off few weeks ago, was facilitated by Rep. Babajimi Benson, the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
As at Tuesday when our reporter, again, visited the Ajose/ Oke – Ota road, it has been fully completed with a drainage system and streetlights.
In furtherance of our monitoring role, THE IMPACT team also visited Grammar School/Agbele and Erunwen roads on Wednesday.
The reconstruction work at the Grammar School-Agbele roads, which commenced at the Mobil junction inward CAC Road to connect Ogunneye Street which links the Agbele, has reached an advanced stage, while the construction of the drainage system is also progressing well.
Our reporter noticed that culverts were created to link several streets that connect the 1.5km road.
Work was ongoing when THE IMPACT team visited the site with residents commending Rep. Benson for his intervention, while others pleaded for the extension of the project into their streets.
At the Erunwen in Ikorodu North Local Council Area of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, the construction work is also ongoing.
When our reporter visited on Wednesday, work was ongoing on the drainage system.
Our reporter also noticed the presence of military personnel monitoring the project.
A visit to the construction yard of revealed the contractor, revealed that the project will be accelerated since construction materials are already available in abundance.
