As part of its efforts aimed at preparing its students for ‘life after school’, the department of Mass Communication, Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), Ikorodu, is organising a mentoring programme tagged: ‘Town-Gown’.
The event, which is the fourth edition, is themed: ‘Your Skill, Your Future!’, and slated to hold at the LASUSTECH 500-Seater Agric Auditorium, on Thursday, April 13, 2023.
In a statement by the Head of the Department (HOD), Dr. Prosper Zannu, this year’s programme will draw expert speakers from a broad spectrum of the media industry. Among them are veteran Journalist, online journalism expert and founder of Media Career Development Centre, Lekan Otunfodunrin and General Manager of Nigeria’s pioneer traffic radio station, Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1FM, Tayo Akanle.
Also on the bill is the CEO of the award-winning PR agency – Modion Communications, Odion Aleobua.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Olumuyiwa Odusanya who is the chief host will deliver the keynote address at the event.
