In furtherance of its representation, the lawmaker representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on Saturday met with sons and daughters of Ikorodu who are studying in the United Kingdom (UK).
Benson, during the meeting at Park Lane in London, with Adeniyi Neyo Shobajo, a former staff of the Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS), Jimoh Hamzat, a lawyer and former Constituency Officer with Sen. Tokunbo Abiru; Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni, a blogger and former media aide to Rep. Benson and his wife, Mujidah Amusa, charged them on the need to stay focus with their pursuit.
In a statement by the ranking lawmaker, he also enjoined them to ensure that they return to their motherland where their experiences will be needed for development.
“I was delighted to receive the quartet of Adeniyi Neyo Shobajo, Jimoh Hamzat, Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni and wife, Mujidah Amusa; all Ikorodu indigenes, who are currently studying in the UK”, Rep. Benson .
“We had discussions about their different exploits, passion for knowledge acquisition and unquenchable thirst for exposure.
“In the course of our meeting, I encouraged the young guys to remain focused and determined in the pursuit of their dreams.
“I emphasized the importance of returning to their home country after studies to contribute to national development.
“I wish them all the best in their endeavors as I look forward to seeing them make positive impacts in the nearest future”, he added.
Meanwhile, Sulaimon Mojeed Sanni (SMS), has commended the lawmaker for sparing his time not only to visit them, but also for his mentorship.
In a statement on his wall, SMS, also thanked Benson for investing in the youths.
“It was a great moment with my Oga, Rep. Babajimi Benson (Imole Ikorodu) in company of like minds today. Your mentorship and guidance have always been invaluable and I cannot thank you enough for your unwavering support”.

Hamzat Jimoh, also writing on his Facebook wall on the meeting, said:
“We had several conversations about the development of Ikorodu, Lagos and Nigeria in general”.
“JB charged us about getting the necessary training and competencies needed to contribute to the growth of Ikorodu and Lagos.
“It was a good time to reconnect with JB and every moment was a hit back to back.
“God bless you Hon. Babajimi Benson. We do not take the informal mentoring session for granted as we look forward to more beautiful moments ahead”, Hamzat said.
