The Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo – Olu, on Tuesday, hosted management and coordinators of the Babajide Olushola Sanwo- Olu Youth Professional Support Group (BOSYOPS).
BOSYOPS management was led by its Chairman, Prince S.J. Samuel and the Commissioner for Agriculture, Lagos State, Ms Abisola Olusanya who is also the Director – General of the group.
At the meeting were Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructures, Engr. Aramide Adeyoye and Managing Director, Mrs Abimbola Akinajo.
Representatives of BOSYOPS, during the meeting with Mr. Governor, presented the campaign activities and programmes report of the group, covering December 2022 to March 2023.
Ms. Olusanya, in her brief remarks in a chat, said that the purpose of the visit to the governor was to present to him information gathered during the campaign period.
“The real work starts now as the essence of the presentation was to give feedback from the grassroots to the Governor, citing the needs of the youths, the support required for the aged, and everyone in-between”, she said.
“Governance accountability is crucial to sustaining our democracy”.
BOSYOPS, which was very feasible during the electioneering period, played prominent roles in mobilizing youths across the state for the re – election of the governor and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last General Elections.
The group, which comprises youths that have been empowered through various schemes of the Lagos State Government, was setup with the aim of supporting other youths and making them more productive to contribute meaningfully to the social and economic developments of the state.
The group also plans to engage in mobilizing youths for community activities.
