-Charges Governor on annual Ikorodu – Oga Day
The Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS) has congratulated the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo – Olu, on his re – election for another four years term.
In a statement release today and signed by the IKODASS Chairman, Mr Akeem Rotimi Erogbogbo, the socio – economic and developmental association which is also the umbrella body of all clubs, societies and associations in Ikorodu, also said that the re – election of Sanwo – Olu is well – deserved, considering his laudable achievements in the last four years.
Gov. Sanwo – Olu, on Monday morning, was announced by INEC as the winner of the 2023 gubernatorial election, defeating the candidates of Labour Party (LP) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who are major contenders, by a wide margin.
Erogbogbo, in the statement, said that Ikorodu people and entire Lagosians spoke unequivocal with their votes.
“On behalf of the over 250 member clubs, associations and groups, Ikorodu Oga Development Association, IKODASS, congratulations Mr. Governor on your victory at the polls on Saturday 18th March. One good term begets another. Lagosians have spoken. Ikorodu spoke loudly, clearly and unequivocally through our votes on Saturday”, Erogbogbo said.
The IKODASS Chairman further stated that the governor was massively voted for in Ikorodu because the residents are expecting him to conclude many of the projects that his administration started and also, because of the belief that he will grant their new requests.
“Like you have said in the past, the reward for a good work done is more work. We spoke so resoundingly through our votes for you and the APC in all the elections because of our confidence that you will complete what you have started. Isawo Road, Ijede Road and several others needing urgent attention”, he said.
“Our signature tourism product, the annual Ikorodu Oga Day Festival, awaits your support”, Erogbogbo pointed out to the Governor.
“Our prayer is that God enamours you with good health and ingenious insights to moving Lagos forward.
“Ikorodu has faithfully delivered the votes, let dividends follow”.
