Huge Crowd Turns-Up For Sanwo – Olu, Ikorodu Assembly Candidates’ Motorcade Rally -

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Division, has, again, staged another major outing in its bid to maintain its number one position in Lagos State, in term of the number of votes recorded.

Just like the party did two weeks ago, in mobilizing residents and showed its strength before the Presidential and the National Assembly election was held in February, the ruling party on Thursday, embarked on another explosive ‘Motorcades Drive Through’ rally.

The rally was staged to mobilise support for the re – election of Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu as the governor of Lagos State, and the duo of Mr Ogunleye Adetokunbo Gbolahan (OGA) and Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) for the Ikorodu Constituencies l and ll Assembly seats.

At the rally were Rep. Babajimi Benson, who was recently re – elected for the third term, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, former Deputy Governor, Lagos State, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Chairman APC 2023 LOC, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade, Chairman, Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum, Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Agoro, Chairman, Imota LCDA and Comrade Japheth Odesanya, former Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government among others.

The mobile rally was massive and it saw hundreds of party members in Ikorodu Constituency I, moving from Ogolonto in Ikorodu West through Agric, Ikorodu garage roundabout to connect Sabo, Itamaga, Ijede and Gintin joined forces with the Ikorodu Constituency II team.

Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba and others on the truck leading a long motorcade round Ikorodu Division during the APC Motorcade Drive through organized to mobilise residents to vote for Sanwo – Olu and other APC candidates on Saturday.

The Ikorodu Constituency l rally team, before linking up with their Constituency I counterparts, had mobilized massive crowd from the Imota roundabout, and passed through various communities such as Igbokuta, Gberigbe, Gbodu and Ijede to team up with the Constituency II rally train at Gintin

From Gintin, the two groups moved through Gintin road and Igbe communities to connect Asiwaju Bola Tinubu Road in Igbogbo. From there, they moved along the Igbogbo/Ipakodo Road and finally terminated the rally at the Ikorodu Ferry Terminal in Ipakodo – Ebute.

The Ikorodu team was joined by another motorcade belonging to the Independent Campaign Group (ICG), to make the rally loud and massive.

Members of OGA, AMA, iCare Foundation, Onward Movement of Nigeria, among many other APC groups and caucuses participated in the marathon motorcade campaign rally.

The parade, which lasted for several hours was attended by celebrities like Mr Yinka Qudri and Remi Surutu among others.
