-Calls for re-election of Sanwo – Olu
The Director of Media and Publicity for the Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo (OGA) Campaign team, Comrade Japheth Abolade Odesanya, has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly is very passionate about Ikorodu and its people.
Odesanya, who was a former Secretary to the Ikorodu Local Government (SLG), also enjoined residents to consider the candidate’s track records which he said further explains his commitment to the development of Ikorodu.
Gbolahan Ogunleye will be going to the polls on Saturday to seek votes from people of Ikorodu to represent them in the 10th Assembly.
He made the remarks in a chat with THE IMPACT on Wednesday.
“OGA is a largely honest character. He speaks tohe truth. He’s passionate about Ikorodu and the people”, Japheth said.
“His performance as Sole Administrator of Ikorodu Local Government, attests to this. Within his short stay in office, he was able to touch all sectors, both within and outside. The records are there”.
Odesanya, who was the Publisher of the Factor Newsmagazine and former President, Students’ Union Government (SUG), also said that youths in Ikorodu stand the chance of benefiting more from the representation of Gbolahan, if elected on Saturday.
“The youths, especially, will enjoy his selfless traits. His educational, economic and other programmes are designed to assist the youths and make them better people”, he said.
The former SLG charged residents to ensure that Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo – Olu, the government of the state, is re – elected.
“But we are not going to the poll to elect Gbolahan alone. We must also re – elect our governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu, so that he could finish the ongoing projects that he has started and which will have great social impact when completed”, he said.
“More importantly, his re – election will also bring about the continuation of more projects in Ikorodu and the entire state. Lagos must rise to the zenith”, he added.
While stating that the OGA team has combed the length and breadth of Ikorodu, visiting various interests and groups, charged Ikorodu people to troop out on Saturday and vote massively for the APC candidates.
