The Director – General, iCare Foundation, Mr Muhydeen Sanwoola has stated that the massive motorcade that traversed the entire Ikorodu Division on Thursday, is the final campaign for the Rep. Babajimi Benson and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu.
He, therefore, called for a halt to campaigns, while he charged members of the party and entire residents to troop out on Saturday, to vote in a peaceful manner for the party’s candidates.
His statement was contained in a release reproduced below:
Dear Ikorodu Federal Constituency,
Indeed, it has been an exciting and worthwhile task campaigning for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates across Ikorodu Division.
The iCare Foundation of Rep. Babajimi Benson wishes to state unequivocally that yesterday’s massive motorcade already signaled an end to APC campaign in Ikorodu Division.
Therefore, party stalwarts, stakeholders and members are enjoined to abide by the 2022 Electoral Act which brings all campaign activities to a halt by 11:59pm, Thursday, February 23, 2023.
Our next assignment should be focused on trooping out massively to decide on our candidates in a peaceful, free, fair and credible elections across Ikorodu Division.
Thumbing correctly beside the broom logo box on the ballot paper is now the priority and should be done enmasse.
