The Commissioner for Agriculture, Lagos State, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, has joined her voice to many clamouring for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria.
Olusanya, who is the Lead Convener for Babajide Olushola Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu Youth Professional Support (BOSYOPS), appealed to Nigerians to vote for the APC Presidential candidate based on his proven track records which she said has manifested in Lagos where he was a former Governor.
She spoke with THE IMPACT today at the BOSYOPS Strategy Session at the group’s secretariat in Ikorodu.
“To the people, APC is one thing, a party; Asiwaju is another; another person. Asiwaju has shown it clearly that there’s a strategy and he has shown it in Lagos and the strategy is working. It is not just about the strategy, Asiwaju as a leader has raised other leaders that are transforming their spaces across Nigeria, even beyond the shores of the country”, she said.
“Some of these leaders are in the multilateral agencies like the United Nations and other institutions.
“Asiwaju surrounding himself with other great minds, shows that this man has a plan for Nigeria. Asiwaju doesn’t need Nigeria’s money; he doesn’t need property, he already has everything that you can think of. So, what more could be driving this man to want to become the President? It’s because he has himself to give and nothing to take, but only himself to give”, Ms. Olusanya said.
Charging Nigerians on Saturday’s election, the BOSYOPS Lead Coordinator said that this is not the time to embark on trial and error, but a time to decide to elect someone with ability and capacity to turn around the country, using his strategy which is working in Lagos.
“My charge to Lagosians and Nigerians in general, is that this man has proven beyond the shadow of doubt that there’s a laid down plan that Lagos has strived on for the last 23 years. It is possible to replicate the same in Nigeria, therefore, vote what works. This is not the time for trial and error”, she said.
“As a human being, if you are sick or have some sort of ailment, you don’t look for a doctor who is just newly trained, you go to the best and experienced doctor that has done numerous successful surgeries and you can see his patients live and clear and you can say that these are testimonies. This is exactly what it is.
“Why are we trying to turn the wheel around and experiment with the future of Nigeria, when we have someone who shows capability and what he can do”, she asked rhetorically while further pleading with the electorate to vote for the APC candidate.
Speaking on her expectations from the Saturday poll, Ms. Olusanya said:
“My expectation is that come Saturday, Lagos should be delivering over 4million votes for Asiwaju and for other APC candidates, both at the Senatorial and House of Representatives levels.
