The representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, is not leaving any stone unturned in its quest to garner massive votes for all the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming general elections.
After months of massive campaign in various forms, the lawmaker, on Sunday (yesterday) embarked on door – to door campaign with his operational team, iCare Foundation to different areas of his constituency.
Benson, who is the Chairman, House Defense Committee and seeking re – election for the third term, led his team to Igbo – Olomu, Itunlayeode, Parafa, Arewa (Sabo) and Ori –Okuta communities which cuts across three Council areas in Ikorodu Constituency.
The two – term federal lawmaker, during the campaign, stressed the importance of massive votes from the residents of Ikorodu Division which is also a federal constituency, for the APC Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other APC candidates.
He promised to work on some of their requests which include the Ori-Okuta road linking Eyita road that has already been accommodated in the 2023 budget, Igbo-Olomu link road, Igbo-Olomu Health Centre, solar-powered street light, youth empowerment among others.
“The Ori-Okuta road has already been included in the budget, I would not allow the contractor to rest so that work can begin on the project in earnest. The most important for us is to always make our people happy and that is what our party, the All Progressives Congress, is known for”, Benson said.
” I can confidently say that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will make Nigeria better. We need your votes massively for Asiwaju, Sanwo-Olu, Senator Abiru, my humble self (Jimi Benson), OGA in Ikorodu Constituency I and AMA in Ikorodu Constituency II”, he said.
During the tour, members of a campaign support group for Rep. Benson, presented helmets to the Arewa community at Sabo market, lkorodu.
The performing lawmaker received assurances of support for all the APC candidates from various communities visited.
