The Supreme Court of Nigeria,today, dismissed the appeal by the aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr AbdulAzeez Adekunle Awesu against the candidate of the party for the Ikorodu Federal Constituency seat, Mr Abdulkareem Shittu.
The matter, which came up to the Supreme Court Court after the Appeal Court ruling in November 2022, in favour of Shittu, had earlier been ruled in favour of Shittu by the Federal High Court in September 2022.
With today’s ruling, Shittu electively stands as the candidate of the PDP as Awesu has fully exhausted his appeal.
In addition, appeal against the primary election lapses tomorrow.
