The federal lawmaker representing the Ikorodu Federal Constituency at the National Assembly in Abuja, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson is not happy with the number of Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) yet uncollected in his juridlsdiction.
To correct this, the two term lawmaker has appealed to residents, especially those eligible to vote, to go and collect their PVCs for use during the forthcoming General Elections in February and March 2023.
He made the appeal in a video on his social media handles on Friday.
Benson, who is seeking re – election for the third term, while describing the situation as urgent, also reminded his constituents that the it is only with the PVC that they can elect a government of their choice.
“We have an urgent situation that requires your urgent action. The PVC collection in Ikorodu Federal Constituency is low, we can do a lot better”, Rep. Benson said.
“Good enough, the deadline for the collection of PVCs has been extended by INEC from January 22nd to 29th.
“I urge you all to go out en masse to pick up your PVCs. Remember that your PVC is your passport to prosperity and power.
“We have 17 days to go, please, ensure that you all go out and pick your PVCs”, the federal lawmaker charged.
“I thank you for your usual cooperation. Go bless you all”, he said.
