Chairman, Nigerian Majority Leaders Forum and Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Agunbiade, has thanked the Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo – Olu, for the numerous projects he has embarked upon and set to complete in lkorodu division.
The four – term lawmaker also charged residents of Ikorodu Division to reciprocate the impacts of the governor whom he described as ‘Mr Sellable’, by supporting him and voting for his re – election.
In a statement by Hon. Agunbiade’s media team on Thursday, the ranking lawmaker, who has been representing the Ikorodu Constituency I since 2007, also canvassed for the election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the next year’s General Elections.
“Though, the fanfare that enveloped the APC Lagos East Senatorial Campaign Flag-Off was gradually clearing out, we observed with joy as it quickly became an opportunity for our outstanding governor to rollout his scorecard and commitment to Ikorodu division”, the statement said.
“We are deeply grateful to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for the completion of the Imota Rice Mill which has started operation and would, according to the governor, be officially commissioned in January 2023, by President Mohammadu Buhari. The governor has also promised that Sekumade/Ipakodo Road which is presently at an advanced staged, would also be commissioned by the President.
“It is an open secret that the present administration, under the able leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has turned Lagos State into a massive construction site, and it is good to note that Ikorodu Division got a fair share of these projects and notable amongst them are: the Imota rice mill, Oba Sekumade/Ipakodo road reconstruction, Agric/Isawo road construction, Gberigbe road rehabilitation amongst others”, he added.
While appreciating the Governor and canvassing for his re – election and other APC candidates, Hon. Agunboiade said:
“We, therefore, really wish to thank the ‘sellable’ governor for his commitment to the completion of these ongoing projects within Ikorodu division”.
“We equally use this medium to appeal to the good people of Ikorodu Division to go out enmasse come 2023 and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu as Governor and all other candidates of our great party in the forthcoming general elections”, he appealed.
