The operational body of the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Chairman, House Committee on Defense, is set to support 1000 families with food items this yuletide season.
Beneficiaries will get the items at the Christmas edition of ‘Apo Anu’ (iCare Foodbank) distribution holding at the lawmaker’s Federal Constituency Office, along Igbogbo/Ipakodo Road, by Solebo Estate, Ikorodu, on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
The initiative, which has been receiving commendations locally, nationally and internationally, was initiated six years ago and managed by the iCare Foundation led by Mayor Muhydeen Sanwoola.
The scheme, tagged, ‘Apo Anu’ (Bag of Mercy), is a social intervention introduced by Rep Benson, to support less privileges, needy, disables, widows and vulnerable individuals, and has benefitted more than 30, 000 households across the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.
