It was all praises and worship as the Inspirational Gospel Ambassadors Ministry (IGAM) celebrated the 8th edition of its annual concert in Ikorodu.
IGAM, over the years, has been using music, concerts , awards and youth empowerment to promote the ministry of God in Ikorodu and its environment.
The concert, which was well attended, was tagged, ‘Ikorodu Gospel Artiste Explosion Day’.
The concert held recently at the True Covenant Church of God, located at Ojogbe, Ikorodu Lagos State, paraded several big names in the gospel music industry such as Past/Evang, Olubunmi Oladipupo Bakare (Odun Ayo), Lady/Evang, Bunmi Adeleye (Olorun Alagbara), Evang Tope Hungbemee (Tope Cornerstone), The Pains & Pleasure Band, Evang Samson Oladugba (Alaragbayida), and Evang Gabriel Mayor (Gesax).
Others were: Evang. Dare Harmony, Evang. Opeyemi Marvelous, Evang. Yamuso Joseph (Akanfe Jesu), Evang. Tope Arabs (Arabs Jesu), Evang. Oluwatimileyin Glory and Evang. Razor Richard.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Okeshola Adekunle Muse (Adekunle Jesu Temi), IGAM Convener, speaking with THE IMPACT, said that the body, which was founded in 2004 and later renamed Inspirational Gospel Ambassadors Ministry (IGAM) in 2014, is a platform for gospel ministers and artistes to express themselves.
“IGAM is a platform established for all gospel ministers and artistes to promote themselves”, he said.
“What we are doing today is bring all the gospel ministers and artistes together to sing praises and worship God. We are also here to honour outstanding gospel artistes in Ikorodu Division and also acknowledge the upcoming ones and make our platform available for them to grow.
“Also, we assist Churches organising revivals and concerts by helping them to develop ideas needed to the glorify God”, he added.
Bishop Olufemi Otusanya (Omomajemu), General Overseer, True Covenant Church of God and Patron, Gospel Music Association (GOMAN), also attested to the fact that IGAM is a platform that promotes the gospel of God.
The Bishop, who started his calling as a gospel artiste, recalled his experience going from one place to another to praise God. He pledged continuous support to IGAM.
“IGAM is a ministry that promotes gospel musicians and they organise annual concert to praise God”, Bishop Olufemi said.
“Well, I am an ardent supporter of the up and coming artistes and gospel musicians, because before I was called as a Prophet, I was a gospel singer and God has been good to me. I was gospel musician and always go from one place to another to praise God. It was during this time that I was called as a Prophet and later ordained as a bishop, and to the glory of God, I have many Churches, both in Nigeria and abroad.
“I always give thanks to the Lord and that is why I will always support IGAM and all ministries that are giving glory to God”, he said.
