The political group of a former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat, Mr Hameed Olalekan Aroyewu, has join hundreds of family members, friends, associates and well – wishers, to identify with the former Minister for Works, Senator (Otunba) Dr. Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, on his birthday today.
LeAP, an acronym for Lekan Aroyewun Project and the think – thank platform for the young politician who was a Commissioner nominee from the Ikorodu Division at the beginning of Mr Babajide Olushola Sanwo-olu’s administration, described the celebrant as a political doyen and master strategist.
In a statement signed by Dr Nurudeen Oshinlaja and Barr. Adeleke Aroyewun, Chairman and Secretary of the LeAP Management and HOA Suppport Groups respectively, the group stated that the elder statesman is a trailblazer and a worthy ambassador of the Ikorodu Division and Lagos State.
“We celebrate a political doyen and a master strategist on his birthday; a man who has been described by many to be very principled, audacious and very pragmatic”, the LeAP Management said.
“Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe is a trailblazer and a worthy super ambassador of Ikorodu Division and Lagos State. His political achievements as Senator, Federal Repulic of Nigeria and Federal Minister of Works remain iconic.
“His social connection is always intact regardless of positions he occupies – how he turned out to be the first federal minister to ever put out his personal phone number as an emergency line for urgent road attention epitomizes how he values the people”.
The political group also commended the former Minister for his impacts in the area of educational developments.
“His love for education is innate and limitless. For anything that concerns education, he is never frugal, he regularly updates his statistics of schools within Ikorodu division as well as their educational needs and provides the required support in no small measure. There are just few of his likes in our division and we appreciate him immensely”, the statement said.
“We pray for longevity and good health for our dear political veteran, Otunba Adeseye Ogunlewe. We pray that his relevance and influence never wane and may God provide him with abundance of all good things”, they prayed.
