The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Aga junction, Ikorodu
Many dignitaries are expected to grace the maiden edition of the Bethel Day Community Hymn Singing of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu.
The special service is slated to hold on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at the Cathedral Church’s auditorium, located at the Aga junction, along the Ireshe Road, Ikorodu.
The Community Hymn Singing, which is themed, “God of Our Father”, is being staged to commemorate 118th of The African Church Bethel Cathedral, Ikorodu.

The Rt. Rev. Hezekiah A. Adetoro, Bishop, Lagos West Missionary Diocese, will delivered the sermon at the special service which Senator Kingsley Adeseye Ogunlewe, a Chieftain of the Governance Advisory Council and former Minister for Works, will chair.
According to a statement signed by the Bishop, Lagos West Missionary Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Hezekiah A. Adetoro, Cathedral Warden, Engr. Sunday Oshin and Trustee/Chairman, Planning Committee, Dr. Timothy A.G. Okeowo, the special service will be used to raise fund for the renovation of one of the landmark edifice in Ikorodu Division.
“This year’s program with the theme, “GOD OF OUR FATHER”, is aimed at raising funds for the general renovation of our Cathedral. This is coming almost ten years of similar renovation”, the statement said.
“We are indeed proud to mention that the edifice stands as one of the few, but special religious monuments in Ikorodu Division, designed by the legendary Architect, Arc. Olutusen Onafowokan of blessed memory”, it added
Also expected to grace the service are Sen. Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District as Distinguished Special Guest of Honour and Rep. Babajimi Benson, Representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency as Honourabe Special Guest of Honour.
His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Dr. AbdulHakeem Adeoriyomi Oyebo, the Obateru of Egbin Kingdom, is the Grand Royal Father of Day while HRH (Prince) Abiola Kosoko, the Oloja of Lagos – elect, will be the royal father.
Also to be in attendance as the Special Guests of Honour are Hon. (Otunba) Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Wasiu Adekunle Agoro, Chairman, Imota LCDA, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo – Alogba, Chairman, Ijede LCDA, Mr Oluwole Adeola Akoni, SAN, former Chancellor, The African Church, Prince (Barr.) Rotimi Ogunleye, former Commissioner for Physical Planning & Urban Development, Lagos State and Dr. Olumide Metilelu, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH).
