Ikorodu Constituency II Seat: Onamade ‘Lule’ For Third Time At Supreme Court
Mr Oluwatosin Onamade, an aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, and one of the many contestants that lost the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), has, again, lost his case against the party’s choice for the third time.
The Supreme Court, THE IMPACT gathered, affirmed the ruling of the Federal High Court and that of the Court of Appeal while upholding the candidacy of AMA.
The apex court delivered its judgment on Tuesday, November 22, 2022.
Aro Moshood made the revelation while addressing party leaders and members at a town hall meeting he called at the Megalite Hall, HOMAT, Igbogbo.
He said that his challenger, Onamade has ‘lule’ (suffered resounding defeat).
He also thanked the party for its support.
“In a political setting, we are bound to disagree and even have crisis, but we must also ensure that we use internal mechanism to resolve such. I thank you all for your support”, he said.
“Aftermath the primary election, we have been exploring all avenues to reconcile co – aspirants and party members but unfortunately, one of the aspirants challenged the mandate duly given to me by the party in the court.
“I was challenged at the Federal High Court, Appeal Court and up to the Supreme Court. It was today (Tuesday) that the judgment was delivered at the Supreme and I received a report before we started this programme (the town hall meeting), that he (Onamade) has ‘lule’ (roundly defeated) for the third time”, he disclosed with the entire gathering bursting into laughter.
“I will still go and visit him because we are all working for the party, so, it is a must to do so”, the young politician said.
While stating that he has resolved issues with the incumbent representative of the Constituency, Hon. Nurudeen Saka Solaja whom he said has pledged his support to his candidacy, AMA also appreciated and thanked other co-aspirants that that honoured his invitation to the meeting. Among these were: Hon. Salisu Jimoh Fathiu, Mr Kunle Alliasu Matti, Mr Bello Yusuf , Hon. Oresanya, Mr Akeem Taoreed, Hon. Gbenga Oshin and Mr Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun.
