Students in senior secondary schools across the Igbogbo Kingdom, will on Monday, November 21, 2022, converge for the grand finale of the quiz and debate competitions organized by the 2022 Igbogbo Day Education Sub – Committee in commemoration of this year’s edition of the Igbogbo Day.
The educational event scheduled for the Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA) Secretariat, will feature eight senior secondary schools each in the finals of both the English Debate and Quiz Competitions.
According to a statement signed by the Chairman, 2022 Igbogbo Day Education Sub – Committee, Mr Ibikunle Sopitan, schools that qualified for the final are Community Senior Secondary School, Bayeku; Lagos State Girls Senior Model College, Agunfoye; Oreyo Senior Grammar School, Igbogbo; Lagos State Civil Service Senior Model College, Igbogbo; Reri Senior Secondary School, Oreta; Homat Comprehensive College, Igbogbo; Elepe Community Senior High School and Andus D’Great Schools, Igbogbo.
In the Quiz competition category are the Lagos State Civil Service Senior Model College, Igbogbo; Zumratul Islamiyyah Senior School; Andus D’Great Schools; Lagos State Girls Senior Model College, Agunfoye; Queen Betty College; Oreyo Senior Grammar School, Igbogbo; Homat Comprehensive College and Future Redeemer School.
In the Impromptu Yoruba Essay Competition held a few weeks back, Community Senior Secondary School, Bayeku emerged as the winner, while the Lagos State Civil Service Model College, Igbogbo and Elepe Community Senior High School, Elepe are second and third respectively.
