The Balogun of Igbogbo Kingdom, High Chief Jelili Oduntan, has received commendations from the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, His Royal Majesty, Alaiyeluwa (Oba) Barr. Semisudeen Orimadegun Kasali, for adding to the economic and social status of Igbogbo, Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Ikorodu Division, Lagos, Southwest, Nigeria.
Oba Kasali gave the commendations and royal blessings while commissioning the Luxury Bar and Car Wash newly established by the Balogun of Igbogbo, along Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Way (formerly Agbele Road), Igbogbo.
Adeboruwa, while commissioning the business enterprise on Saturday, November 5, 2022, stated that the business initiative would significantly contribute to the social and economic development of Igbogbo.
The royal father, in his royal message at the commissioning, also said that the Luxury Bar and other businesses springing up in Igbogbo are as a result of the network of roads been constructed in the town.
“This is one of the effects of good road construction and development, and there will still be more to come soon”, Adeboruwa said.
“I thank Balogun (Chief Oduntan) for this initiative that has added to the social and economic development in Igbogbo. This will assist in creating employment for our youths, serve as relaxation centre and meeting point for people to discuss business and other issues.
“I think others too should emulate Balogun in investing in lgbogbo, so that we all can develop our kingdom together, and make it a livable environment that is prosperous and sustainable”, Adeboruwa charged.
Oba Kasali prayed that Balogun Oduntan will reap the desired intention on his investment which, according to the monarch, is a retirement plans to take care of him and his family.
High Chief Oduntan, speaking earlier, said that great things are happening in Igbogbo during the reign of Oba Kasali.
“Good things are happening in Igbogbo, especially since the emergence of our revered Oba, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali as the Adeboruwa of lgbogbo. We can all see around us the infrastructural developments going on and businesses springing up which are adding to our social and economic status”, he said.
“I am sure and pray that the pace of developments will continue and your reign will witness many more developments”.
Balogun Oduntan, who said that the business is his own contribution to the economic development of Igbogbo, also added that he established the business as a retirement plan.
“Since we are not growing younger again, I decided to established this business as my retirement plan; to take care of myself and family at old age”, he said.
“With this, we are also going to be contributing to the economic development of Igbogbo, because we have already employed many staff and more are still going to be engaged.
“I want to thank my wife and children for their support, and also thank Kabiyesi for accepting to commission this centre. I also thank all the guests here today for coming to honour me”.
