It was yet another scholarship opportunity for students in Ikorodu in various higher public institutions across the country as the Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), has called for applications for the annual Late Jimoh Adedoyin Longe Scholarship Endowment.
According to IKODASS, both indigenes and non – indigents (residents) of Ikorodu can apply for the award and must be in 200 Level.
Applications which opened on the 25th October, 2022, will close on 10th November, 2022.
IKODASS had, earlier in October, facilitated and announced AGL Delitesome Scholarship which received many applications.
In a statement signed by the IKOADASS Chairman, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, at the weekend, he said that successful candidates will enjoy the scholarship award throughout their studies provided they maintain their grades.
“To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must fulfill the following conditions: must be indigene /resident of Ikorodu; all candidates must be in 200 levels and must secure a minimum of five credits in WASSCE”, Mr Erogbogbo said.
“Applicant must have a bona-fide admission into a Federal or State Institution of tertiary education and must present a letter attesting to his or her character from either a pastor, lmam or traditional ruler”, he added.
While stating conditions for successful candidates to continue enjoying the scholarship award through their study, the IKODASS Chairman said that:
“All successful candidates must maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 throughout the duration of their respective courses”, he said.
“Any recipient who drops below said CGPA automatically forfeits his/ her scholarship.
“Any recipient indicted in any vice, criminal or cultic activity during the period of his/her scholarship automatically forfeits his/her scholarship”.
