Hon. Babatunde Sotomiwa, councilor representing the Ward D in the Legislative Arm of the Ikorodu Local Government presenting a Public Address System (PAS) to the Chairman and Secretary APC Ward B in Ikorodu LG on behalf of the APC State Scribe, Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya.
The General Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Lagos State and former Commissioner in the Lagos State House of Assembly Commission, Hon. Olanrewaju Sunmi Odesanya, has charged members of the party in Ikorodu to ensure that there is cohesion towards working as a united family in the forthcoming general elections.
He gave the charge on Friday in Ikorodu while donating a public address system to Ward B, which is his political ward, during a monthly meeting held at the Baba Awobajo’s House, Allison Street, Ikorodu.
Sunmi, who was also a former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, also donated a sum of N100, 000 as his support for the month of October as he did last month.
In the same vein, the State APC Scribe had on Thursday, donated a sum of N250, 000 to the Divisional APC at its Anibaba’s House Secretariat, towards the renovation of the new party secretariat.
He was represented by Hon. Babatunde Sotomiwa (Pappy), Councilor representing Ward D in the Legislative Arm of the Ikorodu Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
Hon. Sotomiwa on behalf of the former state lawmaker, commended the party’s chairman, his executives and the general members for their commitment and dedication to the party and also pledged his continuous support for the Ward.
He charged party members to maintain the unity, cooperation and harmony that have been existing among them which he said have made the Ward to grow from strength to strength.
Hon. Sunmi further charged party members to ensure that there is cohesion and cooperation among them in order to work for the success of all the APC’s candidates in the forthcoming general elections.
He said that the donated public address system is part of his support for the Ward and the party, towards ensuring that communication during meetings is done with ease and convenience.
Mr Owolabi Lawal, Chairman, APC Ward B, speaking with THE IMPACT after the meeting, said that:
“The entire members of APC in Ward B are thanking Hon. Sunmi ‘Lowokan’ for his support for us. He has been doing a marvelous job for us. He gave a cash donation to us last month and he has equally done the same this month”, he said.
“In addition, he has shown that he is a leader in Ikorodu and today, he donated a public address system to us. I did not expect that he would donate the gadget to us. It came to me as a surprise. We really thank him and God will continue to bless him. I really appreciate all that he is doing.
“As a State secretary, he is doing marvelously well and we should all support him”.
Mr Owolabi, while stating that the Ward recorded over 200 members in attendance at the meeting, assured the Scribe that they are fully into full mobilization to ensure that all candidates of the APC emerged victorious in the 2023 general elections.
“We are promising APC that we are going to deliver the Ward B for ‘Jagaban’ (Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu) and other APC candidates.
