The 2022 edition of the annual National Week of the National Association of Ikorodu Division Students (NAIDS) is set to hold.
The celebrations, which would last for about 10 days, is slated to commence on Friday, October 14 and ends on Sunday, October 23, 2022.
In a released signed by the NAIDS National President, Comrade Kuti Damilare, activities marking the celebrations are scheduled for different locations across the six Councils in the Division.
The National Week begins with Jumat Service with the theme, ‘In Allah We Trust’, at the Ijede Central Mosque, Ijede.
Saturday, October 15, the body would host Awareness Walk/Flex Banner for Secondary Schools across the division, tagged, ‘Walk for Peace and Say No To Cultism’. The walk will take off at the Fun City, Ikorodu.
There will be an online lecture on the topic, “Mental Health and Remodeling Leadership”, on Monday, October 17. The discourse would hold on the NAIDS National WhatsApp platform.
Tuesday October 18, would be ‘Social/Cultural Day’, during which activities such as ‘Face of NAIDS National and ‘Mr and Mrs NAIDS National”, tagged, ‘My Cultural and I’, would be held at the Adeboruwa palace in Igbogbo.
Activity slated for Thursday, October 20, is Clean Up Ikorodu tagged, ‘Ikorodu Must Be Clean,’ during which NAIDS members would storm Allison market and Ikorodu garage, to clean the environment.
On same day, there would be a Dinner Night.
On Friday, October 21, there would be sporting events like, Football match, Ludo, Draught and Table Tennis, at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH), lkorodu.
The celebrations would climaxed with the grand finale which would feature a lecture titled, ‘The Role of Technology in the 21st Century. The event is scheduled to hold in Ikorodu.
There would also be a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, October 23, tagged, “In God We Trust’, at the Methodist Church Nigeria, Lagos Mainland Diocese, Imota Circuit, Imota.
