The Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, Sen. Adetokunbo Abiru has spoken highly of the Deputy Governor, Lagos State, Dr Kadiri Oabfemi Hamzat on his 58th birthday anniversary.
Abiru, who is the Senate Chairman on Industries, served on the Cabinet of former Governor, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, with Dr Hamzat as Commissioners.
His wishes were contained in a statement that he personally signed on Monday.
“On this auspicious occasion of your birthday, I join your family and numerous associates and well wishers to pray that Almighty God grants you your heart desires and gives you good health and vitality as you age gracefully”, Sen. Abiru said.
“Happy birthday. Congratulations!”.
He also recalled the impacts of the Lagos Deputy Governor whom he said changed the narrative of the then administration from analogue to digital system of governance.
He added that it is not surprising to him that he is adding value to the current administration of Mr Babajide Sanwo – Olu in which he’s serving as deputy governor.
“Today, I celebrate a highly cerebral professional and respected figure in Epe Division and Lagos State at large, His Excellency, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State , on his 58th birthday”, Sen. Abiru said.
“Dr, you are indeed a great asset to the progressives in Lagos State. I recall how you embedded technology into the governance processes of Lagos State as the Commissioner for Science and Technology.
“You permanently changed the narrative from analogue to digital, thereby, placing our state on a continuous growth trajectory.
“When we both served in the transformational government of BRF as commissioners, you were an exemplary performer. As a Commissioner for Works, alongside other committed members of the team, you led the actualization of great infrastructure strides of the Babatunde Fashola Administration.
“In view of your antecedence and pedigree, I am not surprised you are adding great values to the government of Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu as a co-pilot of affairs of our dear State”, Sen. Abiru said.
