Sen. Mikhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, Senator representing the Lagos East Senatorial District, last Friday, paid a visit to the Lagos State University of Science & Technology (LASUSTECH) as part of his constituency project tour.
Abiru, who, on same day, toured the ongoing rehabilitation of the Ikorodu – Shagamu Road that he facilitated, visited LASUSTECH to see the progress of the 40 – Bed Hospital and Dental Centre that he facilitated to the institution and surrounding communities.
The former banker also inspected the installed 200 Solar – powered Street lights he facilitated for the new University.
Speaking during the visitation tour, the Senator, who was received and conducted round the projects by the acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Nurudeen Oluremi Olaleye and his management team, said that the medical facility is part of his three – pillar agenda.
“These projects among other laudable interventions I have prioritised under my three-pillar agenda, which are: Legislative Role, Empowerment/Facilitations and Endowment, are geared towards providing greater good to a larger number of our people”, he said.
“From the 960 (capacity) mini-Stadium and the remodeled Oluwo Fish Market in Epe to 40-bed hospitals that we facilitated in Isiwu, LASPOTECH (now, LASUSTECH) and Mascara Health Centre in Agboyi-Ketu to schools and the first of its kind Innovation hub, Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL) and many more, are envisioned to lift our people from squalor and ensure better life for all”.
Dr Olaleye, the acting VC, commended the Senator for the projects he facilitated to the institution and also thanked him for the facilitation of the Ikorodu- Sagamu Road reconstruction, which he said would greatly impact on the institution.
