Former aspirant for the Ikorodu Constituency II Seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mr Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has congratulated the Ansar – Ud – Deen Society of Nigeria, Igbogbo branch, on the occasion of its silver jubilee celebrations.
Aroyewun, whose father was one of notable figures that contributed immensely to the growth and development of the Society, also commended the Islamic organization, especially its Missioner on the completion and commissioning of the ultra – modern AUD Central Mosque in Igbogbo and other giant achievements recorded in the last 50 years.
The week – long celebration of the anniversary ended on Sunday, August 22, 2022, with the commissioning of the Mosque by His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo and Fadilat Sheikh Alhaji (Imam) Muyideen Ajani Bello, the popular Islamic scholar and public commentator among other dignitaries.
“It is with utmost joy that I celebrate with my own spiritual head and missioner, Ansar-ud-Deen Society, Igbogbo Branch, Imam Lookman Abdul-Razak and all members of the Branch, on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee anniversary of their establishment and commissioning of their ultra – modern mosque”, he said in statement.
“The celebration is indeed very significant just as it is with the fifty years of anything. However, the steady growth of this society, which can be described as in leaps and bounds, is worth a grand reception. It is to the credit of the society that a lot has been achieved in the society without falling short of her immediate focus and goal”.
He said that he has no doubt that the founding fathers of the Society will be happy with the achievements that the Society has been able to record with impacts on the community.
“I remain very confident that the founding fathers would be delighted to see the prosperity of their brain child, especially my late father, Alhaji R.B.O Aroyewun whose efforts I can recall with great nostalgia”, he said.
“The Ultra-Modern Central Mosque is such a great edifice and remains an outstanding Islamic centre “.
