-As Igbogbo Council leader, others inaugurated as Forum’s excos
The President, Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON), who doubles as the Chairman, Conference 57 in Lagos State, Hon. Kolade Alabi, has thanked the elected Councilors across the 20 Local Government Governments and 37 Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State for their support and for ensuring that peace reigns in all the councils.
Also speaking in the same vein, Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku and Public Relations Officer, Conference 57, also appreciated the councillors for their supports since the inception of their administration over a year ago.
The two chairmen spoke at the inaugural meeting of the Lagos State Councilors Forum held at the Igbogbo/Bayeku Secretariat Auditorium, Igbogbo, on Wednesday, August 10, 2022.
Hon. Nurudeen Alimi, the Council Leader of Igbobo/Baiyeku LCDA, who is serving his second term, was sworn – in as the Chairman of the Lagos State Councillors’ Forum alongside other excos of the Forum.
Hon. Kolade Alabi, the ALGON President, speaking at the inauguration, commended Councilors in Lagos State for initiation of the forum while thanking them for not causing any trouble with Council Chairmen in their respective councils.
“Today, we are here to celebrate with you all, and I cherish and love this gathering and I wish we should have more of this interaction.
“I thank you for giving us that peace in all Local Governments in Lagos State “.
The ALGON Chairman also thanked Councilors from other States in the Southwest region, describing their support as an honour that Lagos Councilors would reciprocate.
The host Chairman, Builder Sesan Daini, welcomed the 376 Councilors across the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs in the state and appreciated their support on behalf of the 57 Council Chairmen in the state for cooperating with them.
While congratulating Hon. Alimi on his emergence, Daini also charged the Forum to work in cooperation and harmony.
Among others executive members of the Lagos State Councilors’ Forum inaugurated were: Hon. Arogunbade A. Kehinde (Vice Chairman West), Hon. Barakat B. Akande (Vice Chairman Central), Hon. Musediku Monsuru O. (Vice Chairman East), Hon. Wale Fayemi (General Secretary), Hon. Ajose O. Hakeem (Treasurer), Hon. Wusu Solomon Adefemi (Financial Secretary), Hon. Akinbowale Olanrewaju. (Auditor), Hon. Odegbesan Victoria O. (Welfare Officer) and Hon. Akindele Taofik (Legal Officer) among others.
