The National body of the Oriwu College Old Students’ Association of Nigeria (OCOSAN) has felicitated the Principal of the Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, Mr Akeem Oladimeji Bello, on his emergence as the Outstanding Principal of the Year in Africa.
Mr Bello, under whom the school has continued its giant stride in academics, was presented with the African Top School Award 2022 last week.
The alumni has also congratulated the National President of the OCOSAN, Dr Hameed Olaide Sunmonu, PhD, who is the Dean, College of Language and Communication Arts Education (COLCAED), Lagos State University of Technology, Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos State, on his forthcoming retirement from service.
The congratulatory messages were contained in separate statements released today (yesterday) and signed by the OCOSAN National President and Secretary, Dr Hamed Sunmonu and Mr Wasiu Tijani, respectively.
“The Executive and Members of Oriwu College Old Students’ Association of Nigeria (OCOSAN) congratulate Mr Akeem Oladimeji Bello, on your recent Continental Award as the 2022 Outstanding School Principal in Africa.
“We are very proud to be associated with you as the Principal of our Alma mater, Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu.
“We pray that this achievement ushers in great blessings in your life and career. Amen.
“We thank you for flying the college and the country’s flag high. You are great sir.
“We wish you more success in your endeavours. Amen”, the statement stated.
The other statement on Dr Sunmonu’s retirement reads:
“Congratulations to the OCOSAN National President, Hamed Olaide Sunmonu, PhD, on your successful retirement”.
The OCOSAN National President, Dr Sunmonu, would officially retired on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at a ceremony scheduled for Oluremi Tinubu Hall, Lagos State University of Technology, Otto/Ijanikin, Lagos State.
