The first edition of the Sabalemot Erogbogbo (Iya Onigele) Scholarship Scheme for female indigents in Ikorodu has been announced by the family.
Applications for the scholarship, which was strictly designed to support the education of female students in Ikorodu, opens on Tuesday, August 16, and closes September 28th, 2022.
In a statement issued by Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, Chairman, Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), to qualify for the scholarship, candidates must fulfil the following conditions:
1. Must be an indigene of Ikorodu.
2. Must be born a female.
3. Must secure a minimum of five credits in WASSCE.
4. Must have a bona-fide admission into a Federal or State Institution of tertiary education.
5. Must present a letter attesting to her character from either her pastor, lmam or traditional ruler.
All successful candidates must:
A. Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.0 throughout the duration of her course.
B. Any recipient who drops below the said CGPA automatically vitiates her scholarship.
C. Any recipient indicted in any vice, criminal or cultic activity during the period of her scholarship automatically vitiates her scholarship.
