A duty classroom teacher, Mr Amodu Taofeek Olorunjeda has emerged the Second Best Teacher in Ikorodu Local Government Education Authority (LGEA).
The award was presented to him and others at the 31st Founders Day & 2022 Merit Award held at Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Secretariat Hall, Ikorodu, on Friday, 29th July 2022.
Amodu is a member of THE IMPACT platform, an active community youth and prominent member of the Auntie Lola Foundation, a group which has been motivating and mentoring primary schools pupils.
He is also prominent in Oriwu Central Mosque, Ikorodu and As Samadani Congregation.
The award presented to him reads:
“Having sat and passed the prescribed examination and met the necessary requirements in your category in the Year 2022 Annual Merit Award”
Amodu, who won the Most Dutiful Officer’s Award in his school, represented his school, LG Primary School, Ipakodo, at the written exam held at Local Government Education Authority, Ikorodu, with other 64 teachers with each representing the 65 primary schools in Ikorodu Division.
The exam covered Civil Service Rule, pedagogy of Teaching and general knowledge.
He was shortlisted with other six for the oral interview from which the best three were picked.
Mr Inakoju, a teacher with the St. Saviours Anglican Primary School, Igbaga, emerged the Best Teacher while Mr Ganiyu Oduntan,a teacher in the and Mrs Akinwale Folashade from Salvation Army Primary School, Agunfoye came second and third respectively.
Speaking with THE IMPACT, Amodu said:
“I dedicate this Award of Honour to the Rewarder of good work, Allah, The Supreme In His Grandeur, and to all that made me”.
