The Igbogbo community has announced that this year’s Oro Abosan festival will hold on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
The traditional festival started with pre- activities on Thursday, July 20 with necessary rites by the Oro Abosan group and will climax on Saturday, July 30, when women are expected to stay indoor from 12am on Friday, July 29, till morning on Sunday, July 31.
In a statement by the community at the weekend, residents of Igbogbo and environs: Agunfoye, Offin, Oreta, Selewu, Bayeku and other surrounding communities, will be affected by the annual traditional celebrations.
Residents are also implored to inform their relatives, friends and others in far distance about the schedule of the annual Oro Abosan festival and take necessary precautions.
