At last, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has released names of its candidates for the two Ikorodu State Assembly seats.
Contrary to rumor that a particular aspirant has been picked since the failed PDP primary elections for both Ikorodu Constituency I, THE IMPACT can authoritatively report that Mr Olalekan Olamide Lawal has emerged as the preferred choice of the party for the Constituency I seat.
His emergence was confirmed on Thursday.
In the same vein, Prince Adewale Isiaka Oyebo has also emerged as the preferred candidate for the Constituency II.
In the result sheet submitted to the INEC by the party, the parry said that, Mr Lawal Olamide Olalekan emerged as the candidate for the Ikorodu Constituency I with 18 votes, while Mr Balogun Rotimi only score 2 votes.
For the Ikorodu Constituency II, Prince Oyebo also get 18 votes and Mr Idowu Odunayo 6 votes.
Meanwhile, Engr. Olanrewaju Oshin, Chairman, PDP in Ikorodu Local Government, has confirmed the emergence of Mr Olalekan Lawal and Prince Adewale Oyebo as the party’s candidates for the Ikorodu Constituency I and II Assembly seats, respectively.
For the House of Representatives, he said that nothing has been done by the party yet since Mr AbdulAzeez Awesu and Mr AbdulKareem Shittu were tied in the last rerun election.
