-Gets more votes from Ikorodu
Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has won the All Progressives Congress governorship ticket to run in the 2023 election.
He polled 1,170 of 1,182 votes cast with the Ikorodu Local Government casting the highest votes of 94 votes for the incumbent Governor.;
He was declared winner by the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr Adamu Shettima Yugudam, at the primary held on Thursday at Mobolaji Johnson Sport Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Wednesday, May 26, 2022.
He was unopposed as the two other candidates – Mr Olawale Oluwo, former Lagos Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Olawale Oluwo and Mr Abdul Ahmed Mustapha, a former state permanent secretary under Ambode’s administration, who bought forms were not cleared by the party to participate in the primary election.
His contenders had complained that they were disallowed from participating in the primary.
