-Four candidates fight for Ikorodu Constituency Seats, 4 for House of Reps
Two aspirants each in Ikorodu Constituency I and II will have their fates determined by delegates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ikorodu at the Congress scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2022, as the party is set to elect their candidates for the two Lagos State House of Assembly seats in Ikorodu.
A total of four aspirants will also be going to the poll on Saturday to face delegates who will elect one of them as candidate for the sole House of Representatives seat in Ikorodu.
In a revised Timetable and Schedule of activities signed by the National Chairman of the party, Sen. (Dr) Iyorchia Ayu and Secretary, Sen. Samuel N. Anyanwu, a copy of which was made available to THE IMPACT by Mr Sodiq Lamina, the Assistant Publicity Secretary, PDP in Ikorodu LG, delegates of the party will engage in electing candidates for available state assembly and national elective positions and also the Governorship candidate between Saturday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
.Delegates that will elect their candidates for the Ikorodu Constituency I seat, will gather at the Ikorodu Club House, for the party’s primary election, while those in Ikorodu Constituency will performed the exercise in Imota.
Election of PDP candidates for the House of Representatives is scheduled for Sunday, May 22, while that of the Senate is slated for Monday, May 23.
Primary election for the Governorship primary is on Wednesday, May 25.
The two aspirants seeking delegates’ prayer to emerge as candidate for the Ikorodu Constituency I are – Olalekan Olamide Lawal and Balogun Rotimi Olatubosun, while, Adewale Isiaka Oyebo and Idowu Hammed Odunayo are seeking to emerge as the party’s candidate for the lkorodu Constituency II Assembly seat.
For the House of Representatives, AbdulAzeez Adekunle Awesu, Temitope Alaba Odeyale, AbdulKareem Olugbenga Shittu and Hon. (Mrs) Omotolani Popoola are the aspirants seeking delegates’ mandate to represent the party as candidate in the 2023 General Elections.
Four aspirants are vying for the Lagos East Senatorial seat – Yeye Shobajo Adenike Agnes, Princess Saidat Odofin Fafowora, Nicholas Akobade and Otunba Obadiaru Charles Adebayo.
A total of six PDP members are seeking to get the party’s ticket for the Governorship election, they are Gbadebo Rhode Vivor, AbdulAzeez Oladiran Olajide, Shamsideen Ade Dosunmu, Adedeji Doherty, Deji Kolawole Paul and Otunba Olanrewaju Jim – Kamal.
