-Party Ward Chairmen assure of Rep. Benson’s re – election
The iCare Foundation, the operational platform of Hon Babajimi Benson, the representative of the lkorodu Constituency, on Saturday, April 15, 2022, put smiles on the faces of about 500 vulnerable families with the distribution of its monthly food packs, popularly called ‘Apo-Anu’, to mark the Easter celebration and ongoing Ramadan fasting.
Like the previous editions, the distribution exercise was held at the Hon. Benson’s constituency office along lgbogbo road, Ebute, lkorodu.
The two – term lawmaker, who was on ground to witness the distribution, was presented with 50th birthday presents by the six Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikorodu Local Government Areas (LGAs), Ward Chairmen across the Ikorodu Federal Constituency and other groups.
Omoba Olatunji Shonaike, a Ward Chairman in Imota who spoke on behalf of others, said that Rep. Benson has brought a new face to politics in Ikorodu, adding that he should be adopted as the consensus candidate in the next election.
“If we have been having representatives like Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson as our representative, it would have been marvelous and I want to beg the entire people in Ikorodu Division, that the day is coming closer and we, the ward chairmen, have all concluded that we don’t have any other person we want to give our votes to other than Hon. Benson”, Omoba Shonaike said on behalf of other Ward Chairmen.
“If we start to talk, time won’t be enough because of the good things he has done for us in lkorodu Division.
“To all the ward chairmen, let us not forget that promise is a debt. Let each of us go back to our wards and do the necessary thing”, he charged.
Many other groups at the distribution clamoured for Rep. Benson to go for the third term in office.
Meanwhile, many of the beneficiaries of the ‘Apo Anu’ (Food bags) were full of prayers, praises and commendations for Rep. Babajimi for his support and quality representation.
