“I renew my commitment to continuously be of service to God, humanity and the good people of Ikorodu Federal constituency, Lagos and Nigeria as a whole”.
Quoting Abraham Lincoln, the lawmaker said that he is lucky to reach 50 years of age.
“A great man, Abraham Lincoln, said, “In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years”. I count myself lucky to be in that company.
“I bless and thank God, the glory and the lifter of my head. My God, from whom all my blessings flow. E se Baba.
“Here’s to 60, 70, 80, 90, 100 beyond, as my soul wishes and as my God wills”, Rep. Benson said.
Reflecting on the last 50 years, the young lawmaker thanked God for His mercy over his life, and also appreciated his wife, family and political team.
“As I reflect on the trajectory of my life, I can’t help but acknowledge God for the leaps and bounds that I have made, and for His Grace, Protection and Favor surrounding me. Expectedly, these years have not been devoid of mistakes and that reminds me that I’m human and a product of God’s mercy”, he said thankfully.
“In this fleeting life, attaining 50 years is a blessing which I have been opportuned to be a partaker of. I am lucky to have witnessed real life-changing experiences that have moulded and propelled me to where I am today.
“From childhood to adulthood, from school life to work life, from family to friends, and in politics, I have maintained my belief in the supremacy of God, and the need to make myself available to be used by Him.
“The significance of this day is a time of introspect and appreciation for God’s uncommon Grace. I am particularly appreciative of my darling wife, Olajumoke, my dear children, my amazing mum, my ever supportive family members, respected mentors, beloved loyal constituents, my indefatigable DG and cherished members of my iCare Foundation, my tribe of friends, committed staff and respected associates”, he said.
