The Igbogbo Beach Soccer Club (IBSC) marked the birthday celebration of one of their players, Iremitide Ayomide, with a resounding victory in faraway Ilorin, Kwara State, where the club is currently participating in the 2022 National Beach Soccer League.
As the name and surname of the celebrant depict; Iremitide Ayomide (my blessings and joy have come), the player, indeed, brought joy and blessings to his club on his birthday as the Igbogbo team defeated Kelme Galaxy Beach Soccer Club (KGBSC) 6 goals to 2 to record their second victory in three matches in the league.
The pummeling of Kelme Galaxy BSC, took IBSC point tally to 5 and erased the negative goal difference of the team.
Oluwa Kazeem and Bankole Idowu who were both carrying serious injuries, scored a goal each while Uthman Taiwo Tijani was also among the goal scorers.
Impressive performance was also recorded by Adeleke Basit, an SSS 2 student of Ayotunde Private Schools, Igbogbo. He had 2 shots (third in 3 matches) both of which hit the cross bar.
IBSC will continue their league game today when they take on the league leaders, KADA BSC.
