In the paragraph five (reproduced below) of the above titled story published on Thursday on our site and shared on other social media platforms, we mistakenly wrote that the headquarters of the defunct Irepodun Local Government which was then situated along Ijede road, Elepe, is in ljede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) instead of Igbogbo LCDA.
“Ijede happens to be the headquarters of the ill – fated Irepodun Local Government which was supposed to be the second council area to be created out of the lkorodu Local Government but the plan failed due to self – political destruction by those that should have supported the move but decided to work against it. Though, the issue has since become history but the entire division is, today, still suffering from the aftermath”.
This mistake is regrettable and we sincerely apologise for it.
The Secretariat of the Irepodun Local Government was located at Elepe which is part of Igbogbo LCDA while the Chairman of the defunct council then was Alhaji Sakibu Olorunnishola Amusa, a prominent personality from Ijede.
Once again, we apologise for the mistake.
