The EROZ Place, a leading bar in Ikorodu, played host to children on Boxing Day to mark the yuletide season.
Children at the party, which was held at the EROZ Place, 51, Aga Street, Ikorodu, had great fun and fulfilling moments as they engaged in playing different games like passing round the plate as well as dancing competition and moments on the bouncing castle.
Their parents were not left out too in the fun as the anchor of the ceremony lured them out to engage in a numbering game to the amusement of their children.
Gift items were given to kids in attendance by Santa Claus who arrived in the middle of the party and exchanged pleasantries with guests.
Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo, the Chairman, EROZ Place and Chairman, Ikorodu – Oga Development Association (IKODASS), speaking with THE IMPACT, said that they hosted the children to make them have a feel of the season.
“Well, it’s Christmas period and today is Boxing day and very soon, we will be in the New Year. It is a moment of celebration. You can see the celebrations on the streets, even the atmosphere speaks celebration”, he said.
“People are celebrating and you can see the effects in the market places and even on the roads by the way people move from one place to the other. We are talking about the Christmas season.
“So, we are celebrating and we are here today at EROZ celebrating with families”.
Miss Adeleye Basira, the 2021 Igbogbo Kingdom’s ‘Miss Heritage’, in her remark, charged participating children to be good kids by respecting their parents and elders and be good students.
“Actually, I love children. I like children being good, so, I am going to tell you how you can be good children. It is by respecting your parents, respecting your elders, obeying your teachers, doing your assignments, going to school and being in class and also don’t join bad gangs”, she advised them.
