-As young politician gives constituents Xmas rice
Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in Lagos West Senatorial District have clamoured for Hon. (Prince) Lanre Sanusi (PLS) to be their representative at the House of Representatives in the next dispensation.
The call came on Friday, December 24, 2021, while rice donated by the young politician to support his constituents were given out to the Ward chieftains.
The items were distributed across the 14 Wards in his constituency through his Campaign Coordinators and Directors of Directorates on Friday, December 24, 2021.
The Vice Chairman, Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Director of Campaign, PLS, Hon. Badmus Moshood Olanrewaju, distributing the items at the aspirant’s home in FESTAC, said that giving out has been what Sanusi has been doing.
He said that people in Amuwo Odofin are still supporting Sanusi and appealed to the party to allow their voices to be heard.
“This is a usual thing that PLS does every festive period, be it Christmas, New Year, Ileya and other periods”, he said.
“He also decided to give out and support people across the 14 Wards in the Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.
“We are giving out 50 of these bags of rice to each of the 14 Wards to be distributed to our members”.
He said that the majority of the party members in the constituency are still supporting Prince Sanusi to represent them because of his youthfulness and dynamism which he said will be a great asset to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu when he emerges as the President.
“The other time, PLS won the primary but the party decided to give the ticket to a woman and he accepted”, Hon. Olanrewaju recalled.
“We are still supporting him and we hope that our party and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will hear our voices and see the youthfulness and dynamism in him which are going to come in handy when he emerges as the President of Nigeria.
The Campaign DG for Prince Sanusi also told journalists at the distribution venue that the group has also reached out to traditional rulers, members of the opposition party, market men and women, less privileged, tribes among others for the Christmas gifts.
The PLS Coordinator of Ward B1, Mr John Olopade who received 50 bags of rice on behalf of his ward, described the gesture as wonderful.
“This is wonderful thing because through this, he is putting smiles on the faces of many people”.
“Going by the situation in the country, anybody that gets this will be happy and I say thanks to him for remembering our people.
“We will continue to give him our support”, he said.
Mr Quadri Afees, the Coordinator for Ward G, said that the aspirant who has never been in position always reaches out to the people.
“He is again reaching out to the people to make them happy at this Christmas season.“He is not yet in position but he has always reached out. There are others who are in position and are not even remembering their people again.
“We are going to deliver these items to the people in our wards and tell them that they should continue to support PLS. He still has our massive supports”, he said.
