Two top teams with massive followers, Ayegbami FC and Stadium Road FC, will today clash in the final match of the 2021 edition of the Adeboruwa Cup staged in commemoration of the annual Igbogbo Day celebration.
The match, which will be played at the Igbogbo Stadium at 3.30pm, is expected to be watched by His Royal Majesty, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, his chiefs and other dignitaries.
A celebrity/stakeholders’ Novelty Match will be played before the final game.
Also, Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Councilors and other council officials are equally expected to grace the match.
To qualify for the final, Ayegbami FC beat Oliwo Amoju FC 6-1 via penalty kicks after playing 1-1 draw at the regulation time.
On the other hand, Stadium Road FC had an easy ride in the second semi final beating the boys from Agunfoye 2-0.
Meanwhile, Oliwo Amoju FC won the third place match played yesterday at the Igbogbo Stadium.
The team defeated Agunfoye FC 1-0 to claim the third position in the tournament.
