Fans and football spectators had a fulfilled day watching the two opening matches of the football tournament organized to mark the 33rd lgbogbo Day which commenced Monday, October 25, 2021.
In the first match played at the Igbogbo Stadium between Oluwo Amoju FC and Adeyanlu Estate FC, the home team won 2 – 1.
Oluwafemi Kolawole scored for Oluwo Amoju FC in the 30th and 33rd minutes, while Orisan Oluwaseun scored the only goal for Adeyanlu Estate FC in the 10th minutes.
In the second match, Awobo FC, playing at home, beat Lawal JS Ogunlewe FC by a lone goal to also record the maximum three points in their opening game.
Mr N.T.A Balogun, Chairman, Igbogbo Day Planning Committee, performed the ceremonial kick – off of the opening game.
Oluwafemi Kolawole and John Lawrence who scored for Oluwo Amoju FC and Awobo FC respectively, won the Man of the match award in the two games and were presented with gifts.
Matches continue at the Igbogbo Stadium today.
