It has been commendations galore across social media platforms related to Ikorodu for Rep. Babajimi Adegoke Benson, Chairman, Federal House of Representatives Committee on Defense and the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, following his motion that brought hope of completion to the abandoned Igbogbo Federal Medical Centre.
The medical facility, located down the Iyewa Street in Igbogbo and facilitated by the former Minister for Works, Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe, was nearing completion when it was abandoned 13 years ago.
Drugs supplied for the use of the facility have since expired while other equipment are nowhere to be found.
Following a motion moved by Rep. Benson on the floor of the House, titled, ‘Urgent Need To Complete the Abandoned National Primary Health Centre In Igbogbo, Ikorodu Federal Constituency’, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the House has resolved as follows:
That, “the National Primary Health Care Development Agency should include the funding for the completion of the Federal Medical Centre, Igbogbo, in the 2022 budget estimate”.
That, “the House Committee on Appropriation should make fund available for the completion of the facility”.
That, “the House Committee on Legislative Compliance should ensure the resolution of this House is put to action”.

“This gladdens my heart. Thumbs up for this@Hon JB.
“Thanks for doing your legislative work”, he said.
