The 6th edition of the Oba Kabir Shotobi Independence Day Mini – Marathon successfully held on Friday with 436 participants.
The race was initiated and being sponsored by the Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly and the representative of the Ikorodu Constituency I, Hon. Sanai Bolanle Agunbiade, as a way of developing youths in the long race and engaging residents of Ikorodu on the Independence Day rather than just letting them stay indoors.
It was also to encourage interest in the long distance race.
