He spoke with THE IMPACT after he was announced the winner of the tournament.

Speaking on his future in the Chess game, Mr Ogosi said that his immediate plan is to focus on his medical studies and become a doctor.

“Right now, I want to focus on my studies but once in a while, I will breeze out of my studies and give my best chess”, he said.

“Nothing much should be expected of me for now. I want to become a doctor first.

Speaking about his victory, Ogosi said that:

“I am happy and elated. I really don’t expect it because I have been away from the game for some time. I actually came in to cool off and I had to give my best.

“I got lucky a couple of times and here I am as the champion”, he said laughing.

“I really got the same level of fight from each of the opponents that I played. I had some hard games and some lucky escapes. I had great games from some seniors and they are really on top of the game. A couple of the juniors also gave me a run for my money”.
